DOG LICENSE
INFORMATION
Remit a separate check payable
to: Town of Big Flats
Treasurer.
All dogs over 5 months old must be licensed. Bring or
mail a current
veterinarian-issued rabies certificate for each dog needing a
license. No tags issued
without this proof. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope for
the return of the certificates, tags and licenses. ($3.00 for spayed
or neutered: $8.00 for male or female). Obtain kennel licenses from
the COUNTY TREASUER.
Nutrition
Site held M-F at the Big Flats Town Hall. All seniors 60 and
older are eligible. Meals served at 12 Noon. Suggested Donation:
$2.50 per meal Call 339-4251 to sign up.
BRUSH
CHIPPING
Chipping of brush for residents is done one day a week.
A $20 donation is requested for the town to do the work. There will
only be one visit per year per property owner. Pile no larger than
4’ x 12’. Call 564-2439 for appointment/details.
Neighborhood Watch: Call in
any Suspicious Activity to the Sherriff's Department (339-3304)
right away, not after the fact. OR; call Crime Stoppers at 339-0301 or 1-887-Jailthem.
Crime Stoppers is anonymous. Neighborhood Watch
meets 4 times per year in January, April and October on Tuesday
night after the 6:30
p.m.
Town
Board Meeting. June or
July is a Saturday meeting at 10 a.m. to encourage weekenders to
attend,
A
Junked Vehicle Permit has been established. Permit needed if more
than 2 inoperable or unlicensed vehicles are on your premise.

TRANSFER SITE PASS SYSTEM IMPLEMENTED in
the
TOWN OF BIG FLATS
Starting January 1, 2007 the Town of
Big Flats
implemented a transfer site pass system.
If
you did not receive a pass, you may apply for one at the transfer
site or at the town hall by contacting the Town Treasurer at
608-564-7754 OR 608-564-2129.
Please bring your tax bill with you.
A
simple application and temporary pass will be issued that day and a
permanent pass will be ready for you the following weekend. Please
bring your temporary pass with you and turn it in when you pick up
your permanent pass. Print all information clearly. Any information
that cannot be read will delay the processing of your pass. Thank
you.
Please bring this pass with you to the transfer site
every time you come to the transfer site.
No Pass! No Entrance to the Transfer
Site.
A
transfer site pass can be issued when you pay your taxes.
